  • What type of webinars or workshops does Twisted Career offer?

    Pick your pleasure! Aha, We offer a collection of professional development programming.  From "How to" courses to "Thought-provoking"  implementable solutions for some of the most frequently encountered challenges faced in the workforce.  Topics are selected based on the need of our community.

  • Where can I register for Twisted Career upcoming webinars or courses?

    Make sure you are signed up for the newsletter to get first dibs on exclusive and limited offers.  You can also check out our Twisted Career Academy for our most current offerings.    

  • Is there cost to watch masterclasses or webinars?

    We offer free and paid webinars.  The cost varies depending on the topic and supplemental materials that may be offered with a masterclass, webinar, or course.  We offer plenty of free content via our weekly YouTube videos and podcast.  Make sure to subscribe and turn on your notifications! 

  • How long do I have access to webinars or masterclasses?

    You have unlimited access to all paid or free masterclasses, webinars, or courses for one year from the date of purchase/signup. Our courses are updated frequently and we want to ensure paid content is current and outdated or obsolete materials are phased out.    


    If you are on a monthly or annual all-access membership plan, you will have unlimited access to all member-only content until the membership is terminated.   

  • What is the difference between a Webinar, Masterclass, & Course?

    Webinars are usually free or at very minimal cost or investment to participants; the material usually offers general information that can be tailored by the participant to meet their professional needs.  Webinars can be live or pre-recorded.


    Masterclasses, also are known as "workshops," are typically paid events.    They are usually intense, 60-90 minutes that focus on techniques and skills for a particular topic or field. Masterclasses are taught by someone who has an expert level of knowledge or skill in a particular area.


    Courses are usually paid events.  Unlike a webinar or workshop, which is a stand-alone presentation that lasts an hour or two, an online course dives deep into the subject matter, similar to what you’d get when enrolling in a university course.  It can last 1 to 12 months to complete.  Yes. You read that right, there are some courses that can take up to a year to complete due to the material being covered (e.i programming, coding, etc).

  • How can I recommend a webinar or course topic?

    If there is a topic you would like us to cover please complete the  Suggest A Topic Form   Due to the high volume of requests, we are unable to cover every topic that is submitted.  But we will definitely touch base with you if your topic is selected!

  • What type of memberships does Twisted Career Offer?

    We offer a 3-Tier paid membership and a free membership level.  Access and features vary between membership levels.  Please refer to our membership site to gain more insight on the features & pricing.

  • What are the benefits of being a member?

  • What's the difference between Twisted Career Academy & Twisted Career Society?

    The Twisted Career Academy (TCA) offers standalone webinars, masterclasses, and courses that professionals can choose from and register for the topics and resources that meets their immediate need.


    The Twisted Career Society (TCS) is a monthly or annual membership that includes some of the courses in the academy, but also member-only material.  It is a community of innovative leaders & learners that are looking to expand their network with like-minded professionals.

  • I am not looking for a job. Is this membership just for job-seekers?

    No.  This is NOT just for professionals looking for a job.  Twisted Career's Membership is a NETWORK of professionals that want a productive space to grow and develop professionally.  


    Any career-minded professionals that are looking to network with other like-minded professionals, enhance their skills, and want direct access to industry leaders, should definitely consider joining! 

  • Who can be a member?

    Any career-minded professionals that are looking to network with other like-minded professionals, enhance their skills, and want direct access to industry leaders.   If this sounds like you, come join our growing community!   

  • Do you offer group memberships for organizations or career centers?

    Yes. We do offer bulk discounts for corporations,  organizations, clubs, career centers, etc.  For more information complete the Partnership Form and we will reach out to discuss our offerings.

  • Are there any discounted memberships for individuals?

    Our membership plans are already offered at a very discounted rate.  Our membership features, if bought individually from our competitors, would exceed hundreds of dollars.  We are giving away all-access plans starting at $39 bucks.  That's LESS THAN a nice dinner for two.  

  • How can I upgrade/downgrade my membership?

    If you are currently on a paid plan, just log in and click on the button/link labeled "change plan" from the membership dashboard. Select the plan you desire and you are good to go.  You will receive an email that will confirm your changes. 

  • How do I cancel my membership?

    Memberships can be cancelled at any time by either party.   In order for a member to cancel, complete the cancellation form within the membership portal.  Emails, DMs, Facebook, and LinkedIn messages are not a form of cancellation.  


    All cancellations must be made within the membership portal.  Complete your name and email associated with the membership and click submit.  That's it! 


    Cancellations are fully automated, which is an immediate process.  There is NO GRACE period.  Once the cancellation has been submitted, access is revoked immediately and all recurring fees are terminated.


    Please read our Refund Policy and Membership Agreement to ensure you understand the cancellation process. 

Payment Plans & Pay As You Go

  • What is the difference between a Payment Plan vs. Pay As You Go?

    Payment Plans are offered for selected Creative Writing Services such as Resume Writing/ Edits, Cover Letter Writing/Edits, LinkedIn Creation/Edits, Portfolios, Solution Letters, Negotiation Letters, Introductory Emails, etc...


    Pay As You Go Plans are solely offered for our Coaching Bundles.  It offers a way to start a coaching program without the coaching bundle's upfront expense. It enables clients to pay either weekly or monthly, depending on their needs or desired duration.

  • How can I enter a Payment Plan?

    You select the Payment Plan or Pay As You Go option during the checkout process.  

  • How are monthly or weekly payments processed?

    Payment Plans - The day you purchase the product/service under a payment plan MARKS YOUR MONTHLY DUE DATE.  You will be billed each month for the X amount of months you selected in your plan.  You will receive a receipt following each payment.  


    Pay As You Go - The day you purchased your Pay As You Go Plan,  MARKS YOUR MONTHLY /WEEKLY DUE DATE.  You will be billed each month/week for the X amount of months/weeks you selected in your purchase.  You will receive a receipt following each payment. 

  • What do I have access to while making payments on my project?

    Great question!  While you are making payments you have access to everything BUT the final product.


    You are still able to:


    -Schedule Your Power Hour Sessions

    -Download Purchased Digital Products (if applicable)

    -Complete Required Questionnaires

    -Collaborate on Your Project's Design


    Regardless of payment method, you will always get details in your confirmation email on accessing your purchased items.  

  • How do you handle failed payments?

    Payment Plans - Failed payments will be notified and given FIVE (5) days to update payment information.  If payment is not received following the 5-day notification, the Payment Plan will be CANCELLED.  Please be mindful there are NO REFUNDS for cancellations either voluntarily/financially due to failed payments.


    Pay As You Go - Failed payments will be notified and given FIVE (5) days to update payment information.  If payment is not received following the 5-day notification, the Pay As You Go Plan will be CANCELLED.  Please be mindful there are NO REFUNDS for coaching services that have already been rendered or voluntarily/financially cancelled due to failed payments.


    If your project or service has been cancelled due to a failed payment and you want to reactivate, please reach out to the billing department.


    Make sure you include:


    -"Reactivation Request" in the subject line

    -Your Order Id  # (found on your receipt)

    -Name of the Service/Product


    A ticket will be created and we will respond back within 24-48 hours. Note - We will NEVER ask you for any personal or credit card information via phone or email.

  • When will I receive my resume or completed project under a payment plan?

    Due to the nature of our work and the amount of time and resources it takes to prepare for a new project, we can NOT release the final project (resume, action plan, portfolio, etc..) until the project is PAID IN FULL.


    Payment Plan Orders follow the standard and project delivery schedule once the FINAL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.  Creative Writing Projects are not delivered until the project has been paid in full.  Delivery Policy


  • Why aren't you using Affirm, Afterpay, or Klarna?

    We pride ourselves in making our products & services within financial reach! We also understand that there are clients that prefer to split payments up on a monthly basis in order to take full advantage of our resources.  


    After doing intensive research we have come to understand that many of the "pay later" options require weekly or bi-weekly payments.  That may be an unrealistic payment plan for an $800 service or product.   And for "higher ticket" items, it would require users to apply for financing if they wanted an extended payment duration.  This would require a soft or hard inquire on their credit.


    Twisted Career's "Payment Options" will not impact your credit and it gives you a longer duration to pay.  If you choose not to pay,  you just won't get the final product.  Simple.

  • Can I pay my project off early?

    Yes!  You can pay your account off early.  Please send a "Payoff Request" to our billing department.


    Make sure you include:


    -"Pay Off Request" in the subject line

    -Your Order Id  # (found on your receipt)

    -Name of the Service/Product

  • Can we buy ads or post on Twisted Career's social media?

    If you review our website, you will notice we don't have ads or pops up plastered all over our site.  We just don't like them, and esthetically, they look flat out tacky.  But the most important reason, we want to ensure that we are providing value.  This is why we follow a partnership model, where potential partners are strategically vetted to ensure they align with our overall brand and offerings.  


    A flashing banner or pop-up does not offer that level of value and in some cases can take away from the message we are attempting to communicate.  If you are looking just to post an ad, we wouldn’t be your best match. If you want to add value with a thought-provoking blog post, article, or webinar, you are more than welcome to submit your idea by completing our partnership   form


Coaching

  • How is coaching different from therapy?

    The main difference between coaching and therapy is that coaching focuses on the future. Therapy focuses on the past.


    A coach focuses on a person’s future and often utilizes tools such as goal setting, executing a vision, career management, personal and professional development, educational goals, collaborative action steps, practice building, re-scripting, and motivational work. 


    A therapist or counselor focus on an individual’s current psychological stress and relationship struggles that may stem from difficult early year experiences, trauma, and/or attachment disorders and/or addiction issues. Therapy often involves examining thought processes and interpersonal relationships and other psychological challenges that may negatively interfere with a person’s day-to-day functioning and overall life satisfaction and happiness.


    Both are concerned with making concrete changes in your emotional state and life. Both work to understand the self-limiting beliefs or behavior caused by thoughts and emotions you may or may not be aware of. Both practices help you grow, change, and master your emotions.

  • Why do I need a coach?

    A coach can help you get unstuck and move forward with set goals and milestones.  A coach will help you focus on your potential (your unrealized ability, capacity, or possibility) by leveraging your strengths, uncovering what’s in your way, and targeting the areas you are most interested in addressing to help you reach your goals more effectively.

  • How do I know if I need a coach?

    If you find yourself not moving forward in your life you may need a coach to help provide clarity.  If you are looking to reach a new level in your life or to reach a career goal, a coach can provide guidance and help navigate you in the right direction.


    Coaching can be the catalyst that changes the trajectory of your life, equipping you to change the quality of your life and the course of your career in ways you never imagined. 

  • I have never worked with a coach or professional mentor before, what can I expect?

    Coaching is a collaborative process that assists with defining goals and executing realistic steps toward your career growth and personal development.  There isn't a one size fits all approach. Each coaching session is customized to the client's needs.


    You can initially expect an open and inclusive dialogue, followed by a custom step by step action plan to get you closer to your goals.

  • What is your coaching/mentoring style?

    I have a very laid-back, easy-going personality that is reflected in my coaching style.   I have a very focused and strategic approach and give very direct, no non-sense recommendations.  I am very supportive but also can be very firm if veer off-course.  


    I have a personal and professional interest in ensuring that you meet your coaching objectives.  I want to see you win.  When YOU win we ALL WIN!  🏆

  • How much is your coaching fee?

    Our coaching fees vary on the requested service being provided.  Please review our coaching services and review our pricing model.

  • What is the coaching process?

    The coaching process is very straightforward.  Once a coaching package is selected you will be prompted to select a day and time for your first session.  If you have selected a coaching package that includes multiple sessions, those additional sessions will be scheduled in your first coaching session.


    A coaching questionnaire will be linked to the confirmation email.  This needs to be completed PRIOR to the initial coaching session.   Once submitted, you are ready for your first coaching session!

  • What are the typical coaching results?

    The results of a long-term coaching program are highly dependent on you.  I can give you all my recommendations with a ten-step action plan to execute that will get you to your desired goal.  If you never take the first step, you will never get the desired results.  


    No strategy or technique will ever be enough without implementation. Coaching is a collaborative effort. When both parties are doing their part, nothing will stop you from getting the results you desire!

     

  • What's better, 1-1 coaching or group coaching?

    It's just a preference.  There is no better or best.  It's just a different format/ method of delivering coaching sessions.  But keep these main differences in mind when deciding on the best fit for you.


    1-1 Coaching 


    -Customized to meet the client's personal or professional immediate needs

    -Tends to have a higher level of accountable

    -Tends to be more flexible with delivery and more personable

    -Usually cost more than group coaching

    -Unable to learn and network with others that have similar challenges


    Group Coaching


    -Usually more structured with less flexibility on time restraints in order to be respectful of everyone's time. 

    -Tends to have one common goal or theme that everyone in the group wants to achieve (e.i higher salary, career change, etc.)

    -Less customization or custom individualized plans

    -Usually cost less than 1-1 coaching plans

    -Ability to network and work with others that have similar challenges


    Hopefully, this has shed light on some of the differences between 1-1 caching and group coaching.
